Student Nomination Schedule
Nominees for the 2023 Tech Trek camps must be girls currently in the seventh grade who will enter eighth grade in the fall. Girls must must be nominated by a math or science teacher in order to receive a camp application. No more than five nominees per school will be accepted. Science and math teachers who have not received nomination forms from a local AAUW branch by November 15th may send an email to TechTrekfl16@gmail.com to request nomination forms and information.
The deadline to submit nominations to the camp committee is Thursday December 15, 2022 Applications will be emailed to nominated girls as their nominations are received. The applications must be returned by Sunday January 22, 2023. The girls who return their completed applications by the deadline will be personally interviewed and ranked by local AAUW members. The camp committee charged with selecting the 48 girls for each camp to be invited to attend a camp will meet in early March. The girls selected tor camp and the other applicants will be notified by March 26th.
The parents of the girls selected to attend the camp must send the required $50 registration fee and the registration form to Tech Trek Florida by Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Checks must be made payable to the AAUW Florida Supporting Foundation, Inc with Tech Trek written on the memo line.
